Wonderful location but very difficult to find an access point, if you look on the map above where the CV 949 joins the CV 950 on the left hand side of the lake opposite this point is a dirt track (which needs to be followed with care) that leads down through a rather alien landscape of old dead orange groves (As the water levels are around 50 foot down at the moment and will remain so for the forseeable future) down to the lake side, I found a place where it was a shallow gradient into the water, further round to the right  it shelves off deep so a landing net is required to land anything.(Watch out for the demolished brige, there is a track round it though) The water is a beautiful irredesant turquoise and seems to appear more fantastic as the sun starts to set. It's free to fish but a local permit is required, (I know I shouldn't say this but I couldn't find anywhere to get one from so I didn't bother in the end.)It has no cover so take a hat, suntan lotion and plenty of fluids to drink! I had my hire car there so it wasn't too bad for me ! As for species, there are Bass , Barbel to double figures and some very big Carp. I was talking to a local (In my best broken Spanish) and he told me up to 60lb !! I don't think I lost anything in the translation ! I was using hair rigged pop up dog biscuits on one line, and side hooked pop up (rubber) maggots on the other, with a mixture of Hemp, chopped up Squid Pellets, Halibut pellets and Strawberry boilies in PVA bags and was casting to around 20 yards. I didn't catch anything, but I did have one massive 'take' on the maggots that pulled the rod clear off the sensor. The rods were two telescopic Browning Ambition that fold down to 80cms to fit in the suitcase and the reels were "Hardware Quick Drag" which were on offer from IYCF magazine, the gear was only cheap stuff so I could leave it behind if neccessary and re use it later in the year, as it happened I bought them home. !I only gave it 7 out of 10 as there are no facilities there at all
