Fly Fishing Competition in Dorset

Hi, we are organising this event below and we thought someone here may be interested. On 23rd June for the first time ever anglers all over the world will be celebrating World Fishing Day to bring fishing enthusiasts together and enjoy the day through a network of local fishing events.

Inspired by this idea, fly fishers from Dorset are organising Dorset Fly Fishing Competition, with prizes worth in total £2350. The competition is planned as a sociable experience, with food, drinks and enough time to have a chat and enjoy fishing in the spirit of sportsmanship.

There are great prizes to win and presents to receive:

-      1st Prize: Handmade split cane fly rod worth £1500

-      2nd Prize: Handmade hunting knife worth £175

-      3rd Prize: Vineyard Tour for two followed by a Winemaker’s Lunch

-      4th Prize: Full day fishing at East Burton Estate, worth £60

-      5th Prize: Fresh and Smoked Arctic Charr Voucher

-      Every participant receives a Goody Bag: Vest Pack worth £15

-      Special Prize: Longest Fish –£50 in cash

Plan for the event:

- Meeting and greeting at 8.00am at Flowers Farm Trout Lakes.

- 8.00 : 9.00am // Breakfast (baps with healthy filling, homemade cake, tea/coffee)

- 9.00am : 1.00pm // Fly fishing competition

- 1.00pm : 2.30pm // Lunch sponsored by Cider by Rosie: barbecued burgers and sausages; Weighing the fish

- 2.30 : 3.00pm // Prize Giving

- 3.00pm // End of the event
