Meadow Fishery

John and Christine (the fishery owners) are very friendly and welcoming and this is truly a fabulous fishery. I have been fly fishing at this fishery for 5 years now and I still get so very excited when I go fishing there which is on a weekly basis when I am physically able. As well as offering excellent advice themselves about tackle, clothing and flies there is also a couple of fly fishing instructors (1 male and 1 female) who also provide lessons and run a fly tying course.I have brought many of my family members and friends to the fishery on several occasions and they have all enjoyed the day fishing. There are 3 stunning lakes offering a variety of fishing scenarios and in beautiful settings with lots of aquatic birds and wildlife. There is a toilet and shop selling a range of fishing accessories, books, rods, reels, lines, clothing, boots, waders, waterproofs etc., fly selections and fly tying equipment, materials and hooks etc. I have bought the majority of my gear from the shop as you get excellent advice, try before you buy and you can try on the clothing etc. The prices are also very competitive too by the time you deduct package and posting from some of the main online shops!I recommend this fishery highly to anyone who wants to fish alone or with friends and family, you will get a very warm welcome and great advice, and if you do manage to get a fish hooked - hang on to your rod because they are strong fighters and give you a run for your money.
